No Such Thing As A Coincidence.......

Whenever I am struggling with something in my life or trying to understand what should come next there is nothing more cathartic then getting away and recharging. It‘s not just a change of scenery but it is about putting yourself in a better place to see things the way they really are. When we are in our comfort zone it is hard sometimes to be able to look at things differently or see them in a way that represents how a situation really is. When we take the time to wash away the familiarity of our own biases by stepping away we can usually get the perspective we have been looking for and if lucky enough a thunderbolt of insight that gives us the answers we have been searching for. In my mind there is no such thing as a coincidence. There is perfect order in this imperfect world with events and struggles in our lives unfolding as they are suppose to.

A greater picture usually emerges that we all of a sudden can see where before we were blinded by the monotony of believing its just another day, just another experience or just another meeting. It’s not. It is all part of the tentacles that touch others and take us on a place of self discovery that was just the way it was suppose to be and just the way it was suppose to unfold. We may not like the outcome or it may delight us but whatever side of the fence things fall understand it was part of a plan . It‘s kind of like an earlier blog about letting go and letting things unfold in their natural order. If we are in an active phase or waiting phase that too is what is suppose to happen. If you are moved to take action that inclination becomes manifested from your thoughts and the universe moving you toward a certain direction.
I am thinking about many times ”chance” encounters have happened and what was significant was that someone floated in to my life or maybe yours like a gentle breeze and others like a divine proverb so bold there is no way to ignore them. That is what meditation reveals in the quiet of our minds when we choose to be still and give ourselves over to what will be. Solitude goes hand in hand and offers a lifeline to our inner thoughts and desires. Listen, Listen and Listen some more.
With so much background noise how do we know what it all means without quieting the voice of others in our ear and listen to what is in our own hearts. Practicing solitude even if for 10 minutes in the shower each day brings us closer to our heart and hopes before the voices , opinions and fears creep in telling us the profound encounter we had was just a coincidence and not a part of the destiny we are traveling to on the way to the next stop.
