Here are 5 ways you can continue to develop business as you #WFH ( work from home).
1) Utilize your LinkedIn profile to connect with three new people under suggested connections each day this week. Have a goal of setting up three #Zoom coffee meetings with your new connections over the next two weeks
2) Look for an attend industry webinars relevant to your line of work. Many industry groups are now virtual so find out what’s available. After attending, connect with the panelists via LinkedIn and follow up to meet virtually or in person at a later date. Add these experts to your network.
3) Do you have a mentor? If not find one. In contrast for those in the Gen X or Boomer category, do you have a reverse mentor? If not, find one! This is a great way to collaborate and get new ways and insights into doing business, make new contacts and gain leads.
4) Almost everyone has tried the Zoom app by now. However, if you haven’t, download it and see what you think. There are many ways to connect virtually & this is just one more avenue for you to connect with clients or colleagues. #WebEx is another avenue to utilize and by now you may be an expert at all the different available platforms out there so make sure you’re finding what works best for you depending on what your goal is and what type of meeting you’re conducting. The key is to become an expert at whatever platform you choose so that you can minimize any technical difficulties when conducting virtual meetings.
5) LinkedIn is not the only social media platform you should be utilizing to create a business development plan. Instagram is a great platform to utilize to connect with clients and companies that you would like to do business with. If you already have a personal account now is the time to create a professional account. You don’t have to be a business owner to have a professional account. Create a separate account from your personal one that has a professional headshot and a bio specific to your job description. Now connect with companies you’d like to do business with, companies you are already doing business with, “like” their posts and comment on them. This puts you front and center with the social media and marketing folks and gets you noticed in a different way than just sending an email.
Good Luck & #StayCurious
